Black Friday lands on Friday, November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday follows on Monday, November 30, 2026. For e-commerce brands, third-party logistics (3PL) operators and fulfilment centres along the Highway 401, 407 and 410 corridors in Mississauga and Peel, that four-day window decides whether orders ship on time or pile up on the dock. Most operations cannot carry a year-round headcount sized for that week, so they lean on temporary help agencies for order pickers, packers, material handlers, shippers and receivers, and lift truck operators.
This guide lists eight real staffing agencies that publish a Mississauga or GTA office and say they recruit for warehouse, logistics or light industrial work. We checked each one against its own published pages, recorded what we could and could not verify (including Ontario temporary help agency licence numbers), and added local wage data, a worked cost example and a week-by-week timeline so you can make a decision before the October hiring window closes.
Disclosure: Trimax Employment, the publisher of this article, is one of the eight agencies listed. We have described ourselves using the same standard as everyone else: published facts only, no ratings, and no claims we would not want a competitor to check. The list order is not a ranking; we placed ourselves first so the disclosure is impossible to miss.
Key Takeaways
- Since July 1, 2024, temporary help agencies in Ontario must hold a licence, and a client that knowingly uses an unlicensed agency can face a $15,000 penalty for a first contravention (Ontario.ca).
- Ontario’s general minimum wage rose to $17.95 per hour on October 1, 2026 (Ontario.ca), which is already above the “low” wage that Job Bank reports for several warehouse occupations in the Toronto region.
- Only one of the eight agencies (Trimax) publishes its licence number on the pages we reviewed. For the others, licence status could not be confirmed and you should check the province’s public status page yourself.
- In our illustrative example, 40 seasonal workers over six weeks generate 9,600 billable hours, or $249,600 to $288,000 at assumed bill rates of $26.00 to $30.00 per hour.

How We Chose and Checked These Agencies
We started with a long list of national and local firms that recruit warehouse labour in the GTA and kept only those that met three tests on their own websites or a public business listing: (1) a published office address in Mississauga or elsewhere in the GTA, (2) an explicit reference to warehouse, logistics, distribution or light industrial staffing, and (3) evidence of current recruiting activity for warehouse or fulfilment roles. Several names we checked did not make the cut. For example, PeopleReady (the former Labour Ready brand) sold its Canadian staffing business to Vertical Staffing Resources in March 2024 (TrueBlue press release), so we could not treat the old brand as a current Mississauga option.
We did not use review scores, star ratings, headcounts or placement volumes, because those figures are rarely published in a verifiable way. Where an agency makes a performance claim on its own site, we quote it and label it as the agency’s claim.
A plain note on licence checks
Under the Employment Standards Act, 2000, temporary help agencies must hold a licence to operate in Ontario, and a first-time applicant must post a $25,000 security with the Director of Employment Standards (Ontario.ca licensing page). The province offers a public licence status page, but it does not allow automated reading, so we could not query it for this article. As a result, we report licence status only where the agency publishes a licence number itself. Every other agency below is marked “licence number not published; not confirmed.” That is not an accusation; it simply means you should look the agency up before you sign.
The 8 Best E-commerce Fulfilment Staffing Agencies in Mississauga
1. Trimax Employment (our company)
Office: 805 – 2425 Matheson Blvd. E, Mississauga, ON L4W 5K4, with additional offices listed in Calgary, Surrey and Pointe-Claire (Trimax contact page). Licence: THA-0000002854, published in the site footer (trimaxemployment.ca).
Trimax lists “Warehousing, Logistics and E-Commerce” as its first industry and publishes the roles it places for fulfilment clients: order pickers and packers, material handlers, forklift and reach truck operators, shipping and receiving clerks, yard drivers, returns processing associates, inventory control specialists and shift leads (Trimax warehousing page). The same page claims “first placements within 48 hours” and describes digital timekeeping with GPS check-in and check-out. Those are our own claims, so treat them the way you would treat any vendor’s: as something to test. Worked example: if you approve a requisition on Monday, November 16 at 9:00 a.m., the 48-hour claim means first workers on site by Wednesday, November 18 at 9:00 a.m., which still leaves seven working days to train before Black Friday. Honest insight: we are a smaller, Mississauga-based firm compared with the global brands below. That usually means faster decisions and a single point of contact, but you should ask us, like anyone else, for client references in fulfilment and for our licence certificate.
2. Randstad Canada (Mississauga Industrial branch)
Office: 6345 Dixie Road, Suite 6, Mississauga, ON L5T 2E6; phone 905.795.1146; open Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 17:00 (Randstad Mississauga Industrial page). Licence: number not published on the branch page; not confirmed.
Randstad’s Mississauga branch is a dedicated industrial office whose published specialties are “skilled trades and industrial management” and “industrial support.” Its Canadian locations directory lists 26 offices (Randstad locations), so a multi-site shipper can often keep one master agreement across the GTA. In Randstad’s recent postings, Mississauga and Brampton general labour roles appear with advertised pay such as “$18-$20/hr” (example Randstad posting). Worked number: since October 1, 2026, an $18.00 rate sits only $0.05 above Ontario’s $17.95 minimum, so any quote built on last year’s base rates may need to move. Insight: the branch is open weekdays from 8 to 5, but peak fulfilment runs nights and weekends. Ask who answers the phone at 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 28 when a shift is short.
3. Adecco Canada (Mississauga branch)
Office: 5995 Avebury Road, Suite 902, Mississauga, ON L5R 3P9; phone 905-272-4344 (Adecco Mississauga page). Licence: number not published on the branch page; not confirmed.
Adecco’s site lists “Logistics & Transportation” and “Manufacturing” among its industries, and its industrial and manufacturing page carried live warehouse listings when we checked, including a Mississauga role for forklift drivers (Crown reach, order picker and walkie) with a logistics company at $20.00 to $21.25 per hour, advertised as a “temporary to permanent opportunity” (Adecco industrial page). Worked number: the $1.25 spread inside that one posting is worth $50.00 per worker per 40-hour week before markup, which matters when you are pricing 30 or 40 heads. Insight: temp-to-perm is a smart way to keep your best peak workers into January, but read the conversion clause carefully. Ontario’s ESA generally allows an agency to charge a client a hiring fee only during the six months that begin on the worker’s first day on assignment with that client (ESA guide).
4. Express Employment Professionals (Mississauga North and South)
Offices: 377 Burnhamthorpe Road East, Suite 112A, Mississauga, ON L5A 3Y1 (Express Mississauga North) and 2155 Dunwin Drive, Unit 16, Mississauga, ON L5L 4M1, phone 647-254-9577 (Express Mississauga South). Licence: numbers not published on the pages we reviewed; not confirmed.
Express says it was founded in 1983, and its Mississauga about page states that the local office “first opened its doors in August 2008” (Express Mississauga about page), which works out to 18 years in the city as of 2026. Both offices describe “Office Services, Light Industrial, and Skilled Trades” staffing, and the North office’s job board listed roles such as “Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate” and “Junior General Warehouse – Logistics Associate” when we checked. Example: a fulfilment centre near Winston Churchill and the QEW is closer to the Dunwin Drive office, while a site near Square One or Hurontario is closer to Burnhamthorpe. Insight: Express is a franchise system, so each office is run locally. Confirm which legal entity will employ your workers and hold the licence, because that entity, not the brand, is what appears on the province’s register.
5. Aerotek (Mississauga office)
Office: 350 Burnhamthorpe Road West, Mississauga, ON L5B 3J1. ClearlyRated’s listing shows Suite 401 (ClearlyRated Aerotek listing), while the Allegis Group locations page for the same building shows Suite 800 (Allegis Group Mississauga), so confirm the suite before visiting. Licence: number not published; not confirmed.
The Mississauga listing names Aerotek’s industrial focus areas, including “Distribution – Shipping,” “Inventory,” “Supply Chain,” “Transportation” and “Warehouse,” and Aerotek’s distribution practice promises to help employers “quickly scale your distribution, warehouse and supply chain logistical workforce” (Aerotek distribution and supply chain). Aerotek’s Canadian site says it has spent “40 years” as a staffing agency (aerotek.com/en-ca). Example: Aerotek job boards have carried Mississauga postings for warehouse supervisors and material handlers, which suits an operator that needs a night-shift lead as much as it needs pickers. Insight: an office tower near Square One is a recruiting hub, not a walk-in dispatch office, so ask how same-day replacements are sourced and how fast.
6. Manpower (Mississauga)
Office: ClearlyRated lists Manpower at 2 Robert Speck Parkway, Suite 620, Mississauga, ON L4Z 1H8 (ClearlyRated Manpower listing). Other online directories show a different Mississauga address, and manpower.ca blocks automated reading, so we could not confirm the current branch address from Manpower directly. Licence: not confirmed.
Manpower’s parent, ManpowerGroup, says it has operated “for over 70 years” in “more than 75 countries and territories” (ManpowerGroup Canada). On manpower.ca, warehouse roles such as a “Warehouse Associate – MSC Industrial Supply” posting appear under its transportation category (example manpower.ca posting), which shows the brand does recruit warehouse labour in Canada. Example: a national retailer that already uses Manpower in other provinces may be able to extend an existing master services agreement to a Peel site instead of negotiating a new one in October. Insight: with a brand this large, the branch matters more than the logo. Before you sign, call the branch, confirm the address and the postal codes it covers, and ask for its Ontario licence number in writing.
7. Resolve Recruit Inc.
Office: 30 Eglinton Avenue West, Suite 812, Mississauga, ON L5R 3E7; main line (905) 568-8828 (Resolve Recruit warehousing page). Licence: number not published on the page we reviewed; not confirmed.
Resolve Recruit describes itself as one of the leading agencies “in the Mississauga, Brampton, and Toronto areas” and publishes a dedicated warehousing and logistics page covering roles “from order pickers to supply chain and logistics analysts to warehouse managers.” Its wider practice emphasises bilingual talent and call centre staffing, and it publishes a separate compliance email address and a scam warning stating it never asks for Social Insurance Numbers or credit card details by text or unsolicited message. Example: an e-commerce brand that ships nationally often needs a bilingual returns or order-status desk in December alongside its pickers; one agency covering both can simplify invoicing. Insight: the published scam warning is a useful signal in itself. Fraudulent “job offers” spike in peak season, and an agency that tells candidates how it will and will not contact them protects your employer brand too.
8. Alliance Employment Services
Office: 1620 Albion Road, Suite 307, Toronto, ON M9V 4B4; phone 416-739-8061 (Alliance warehouse and fulfilment page). This is in north Etobicoke, not in Peel; Alliance lists Mississauga as a service area rather than an office (Alliance Mississauga page). Licence: the site states “Licensed by the Ministry of Labour” but publishes no number; not confirmed.
Alliance publishes one of the most fulfilment-specific role lists on this page: forklift operators (counterbalance, Raymond reach and cherry picker), RF scanner order pickers, shippers and receivers, lumpers and material handlers, inventory controllers, fulfilment associates, 3PL project staff and warehouse leads. It claims it can “add 10 or 100 workers to your shift with minimal lead time.” Worked number: using the illustrative bill rate range from our cost example below, 10 extra workers for one 40-hour week would be $10,400 to $12,000, so a “10 or 100” promise is worth stress-testing with a written fill-rate commitment. Insight: RF scanner experience is the skill that most shortens training on a pick-to-scan floor, so ask any agency, not just Alliance, how it tests for it.
Side-by-Side Comparison Table
The table summarises only what each agency publishes. “Not confirmed” in the licence column means we could not verify a licence number from public pages, not that the agency is unlicensed.
| Agency | Published GTA office | Warehouse and fulfilment focus (published) | Licence number published? | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trimax Employment | 805 – 2425 Matheson Blvd. E, Mississauga | Pickers, packers, forklift and reach truck, shipping and receiving, returns | Yes: THA-0000002854 | Agency page |

Mississauga and Peel Warehouse Wage Data (Job Bank)
Job Bank reports wages for Mississauga under Statistics Canada’s Toronto economic region (ER 3530), which covers Peel Region along with Toronto and neighbouring GTA regions. The figures below come from the 2025 Job Bank wage release published by Employment and Social Development Canada (revised November 19, 2025), based on Labour Force Survey data for 2023 to 2024 (ESDC wage dataset; see also Job Bank material handlers, Toronto region). All amounts are hourly.
| NOC 2021 | Occupation | Low | Median | High | Median vs. $17.95 minimum |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 75101 | Material handlers (includes general warehouse labourers and lift truck operators) | $17.60 | $21.00 | $29.00 | +$3.05 |
| 14400 | Shippers and receivers | $17.60 | $22.49 | $30.00 | +$4.54 |
| 65102 | Store shelf stockers, clerks and order fillers | $17.60 | $17.60 | $21.63 | -$0.35 |
| 75201 | Delivery service drivers and door-to-door distributors | $17.60 | $21.00 | $30.00 | +$3.05 |
| 13201 | Production and transportation logistics coordinators | $20.00 | $29.76 | $40.87 | +$11.81 |
| 14402 | Production logistics workers | $22.00 | $31.73 | $38.46 | +$13.78 |
What the numbers tell you. The “low” wage for material handlers, shippers and receivers, order fillers and delivery drivers is $17.60, which is $0.35 below the $17.95 minimum that took effect on October 1, 2026 (Ontario.ca). That is a reminder that the data describe 2023 to 2024 pay, not today’s floor. For budgeting, use the median: material handlers sit at $21.00, or 17% above the current minimum, and shippers and receivers at $22.49. Store shelf stockers, clerks and order fillers show a median of $17.60, which is below the current legal minimum, so any 2026 quote for entry-level picking will start at $17.95 or more. Live agency postings line up with this: Adecco’s Mississauga forklift listing at $20.00 to $21.25 sits just around the material handler median.
Worked Example: What 40 Seasonal Workers Could Cost
Important: every input below is an illustrative assumption chosen to show the arithmetic. Bill rates vary by agency, shift, skill and volume, and none of the agencies in this list publishes its rates. Ask each one for a written quote.
| Line | Assumption or calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Seasonal workers | Assumption | 40 |
| Peak window | Monday, November 9 to Friday, December 18, 2026 | 6 weeks |
| Hours per worker per week | Assumption (below the 44-hour overtime threshold) | 40 |
| Total billable hours | 40 x 6 x 40 | 9,600 |
| Worker pay rate | Assumption, near the Job Bank material handler median | $20.00/hr |
| Vacation pay (4%) | $20.00 x 4% (ESA vacation pay) | $0.80/hr |
| Wages plus vacation pay | 9,600 x $20.80 | $199,680 |
| Illustrative bill rate range | Assumption | $26.00 to $30.00/hr |
| Total agency invoice | 9,600 x $26.00 and x $30.00 | $249,600 to $288,000 |
| Amount above wages and vacation pay | Invoice minus $199,680 | $49,920 to $88,320 |
| Cyber Week overtime | 10 workers x 6 hours over 44 x 2 weeks | 120 overtime hours |
| Overtime premium (half of bill rate) | 120 x $13.00 and x $15.00 | $1,560 to $1,800 |
The gap between the invoice and wages plus vacation pay ($49,920 to $88,320 in this example) is not all agency profit. It also has to cover employer CPP and EI contributions, WSIB premiums, recruiting, screening, payroll and the agency’s own overhead. Overtime in Ontario generally starts after 44 hours in a work week and is paid at time and a half (ESA overtime guide), which is why we only applied it to the two heaviest weeks. Now compare that with the cost of getting the licence question wrong: a first $15,000 penalty for knowingly using an unlicensed agency equals about 576.9 billable hours at $26.00, or roughly 14.4 worker-weeks of labour. For a deeper look at line items that rarely appear on the first quote, see our guide to the hidden costs of holiday seasonal hiring in Ontario.
Black Friday and Cyber Week 2026 Staffing Timeline
Working back from Black Friday gives you about seven weeks from the publish date of this guide. The dates below are fixed calendar dates for 2026; the staffing actions are our recommended sequence.
| Date | Event | Staffing action |
|---|---|---|
| Mon, Oct 12, 2026 | Thanksgiving Day (Ontario public holiday) | Agency recruiters are short a day; send requisitions the week before. |
| Tue, Oct 13 to Fri, Oct 23 | Agency selection | Shortlist two agencies, verify licences, sign agreements and confirm rates. |
| Mon, Oct 26 to Fri, Nov 6 | Onboarding | Site orientation, safety training, equipment authorisation checks, timekeeping setup. |
| Mon, Nov 9 to Fri, Nov 20 | Ramp-up | Start the first wave, measure pick rates, replace no-shows early. |
| Thu, Nov 26, 2026 | US Thanksgiving | Cross-border promotions and order volume often begin building before Black Friday. |
| Fri, Nov 27, 2026 | Black Friday | Full peak roster, standby list confirmed, supervisors on every shift. |
| Mon, Nov 30, 2026 | Cyber Monday | Second spike; watch weekly hours against the 44-hour overtime threshold. |
| Tue, Dec 1 to Fri, Dec 18 | Holiday shipping | Hold the trained core; trim extras as volume settles. |
| Fri, Dec 25 and Sat, Dec 26, 2026 | Christmas Day and Boxing Day (public holidays) | Boxing Day falls on a Saturday; workers for whom it is not a working day are generally owed a substitute day off with holiday pay. |
| Late December to January | Returns season | Keep returns processors scheduled; consider temp-to-perm offers for top performers. |
Ontario’s nine public holidays include Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, but not Remembrance Day (ESA public holidays guide). Assignment employees on assignment when a public holiday falls on an ordinary working day are generally entitled to the day off with public holiday pay (ESA guide to temporary help agencies). For a tactical checklist covering the final two weeks, read our Black Friday warehouse staffing tips for 2026.
How to Choose a Fulfilment Staffing Agency
A shortlist of eight is still too many to manage during peak. Most operations do best with one primary agency and one backup. Use the checklist below to narrow the field, then follow the seven onboarding steps.
Agency selection checklist
- Licence: get the Ontario temporary help agency licence number in writing and check it on the province’s public status page.
- Legal entity: confirm the exact legal name that will employ your workers, especially with franchise brands.
- Location: a branch within a reasonable commute of your site, and a named contact for nights and weekends.
- Role fit: proven recruiting for order pickers, RF scanner users, reach truck and counterbalance operators, and returns processors.
- Rates: a written bill rate by role and shift, plus how overtime, public holidays and rate changes are billed.
- Conversion terms: any temp-to-perm fee limited to the ESA six-month window.
- Safety: who delivers orientation, how equipment training is verified, and how incidents are reported.
- Timekeeping: how hours are captured and reconciled, since clients can share liability for unpaid wages.
- Fill-rate commitment: a written target for Black Friday and Cyber Monday shifts and a same-day replacement plan.
The timekeeping point matters more than many buyers realise. Ontario’s ESA guide states that clients “may be jointly and severally liable together with the agency” for some or all unpaid wages, including overtime and public holiday pay (ESA guide). If you want to prepare your own question list, our article on questions to ask a staffing agency before holiday peak goes deeper, and peak season staffing compliance risks covers the legal side in detail.
Seven steps to choose and onboard your agency
How to choose and onboard a fulfilment staffing agency in Mississauga before Black Friday and Cyber Week 2026.
- Forecast headcount by role and shift
Translate your order forecast for Black Friday and Cyber Week into pickers, packers, material handlers, lift truck operators and leads for each shift, and add a standby buffer for no-shows.
- Shortlist two agencies with local offices
Pick a primary and a backup agency that publish a Mississauga or GTA office and current warehouse recruiting, using a comparison of offices and specialties.
- Verify the Ontario licence
Ask each agency for its temporary help agency licence number in writing and check it on the Ontario public licence status page before signing anything.
- Get written rates and terms
Request bill rates by role and shift, overtime and public holiday billing rules, conversion fees within the six-month ESA window, and a fill-rate commitment.
- Plan site orientation and safety training
Agree who delivers safety orientation, how equipment authorisation is verified, and what personal protective equipment workers must bring on day one.
- Set up timekeeping and reporting
Agree how hours are recorded and approved each week so invoices match timesheets and overtime after 44 hours is visible early.
- Run a ramp-up wave and review weekly
Start a first wave two to three weeks before Black Friday, review attendance and productivity weekly, and keep strong performers for the peak and returns season.

Frequently Asked Questions
Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026 and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30, 2026. Aim to sign with an agency by late October so onboarding can finish in early November and a first wave can start around November 9.
Yes. Since July 1, 2024, temporary help agencies must hold a licence under the Employment Standards Act, 2000. Clients that knowingly use an unlicensed agency can face a 15,000 dollar penalty for a first contravention, rising to 25,000 and 50,000 dollars for repeat contraventions within three years.
Ask the agency for its licence number in writing and look it up on the Government of Ontario public licence status page for temporary help agencies and recruiters, which is linked from the Ontario.ca licensing page.
Job Bank data for the Toronto economic region, which includes Mississauga, show a median of 21.00 dollars per hour for material handlers and 22.49 dollars for shippers and receivers, based on 2023 to 2024 data. Ontario minimum wage has been 17.95 dollars per hour since October 1, 2026.
Yes. An agency cannot stop a client from hiring an assignment employee directly. It may generally charge a fee only during the six months that begin on the worker’s first day on assignment with that client.
The agency is the employer and is liable for unpaid wages, but under the Employment Standards Act the client may be jointly and severally liable with the agency for some or all unpaid wages, including overtime and public holiday pay.
Generally yes. Overtime in Ontario usually starts after 44 hours in a work week at one and a half times the regular rate, and assignment employees are generally entitled to public holiday pay for days such as Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Yes. Trimax Employment publishes this guide and is listed first for transparency, not as a ranking. Its Mississauga office is at 2425 Matheson Blvd. E and its published licence number is THA-0000002854.
